While deciding on the camera:
- You should know that camera phone can never be equal to a digicam as phones use CMOS sensors which are small and use less power, while digicams use CCD image sensor which is much better than the former.
- Remember that image quality is determined by the camera sensor and the optics and not by resolution.
- Image Stabilizers are not of much use unless if they are Optical Image Stabilizers (O.I.S.) as Digital stabilizers increases the sensitivity of the camera but it increases digital noise and grains.
Accessories:
- Camera cover
- battery charger in case of AA batteries
- warranty card
- A card reader is always better than a direct USB Connection with the camera.
Using the Digicam:
- Set Date and Time
- Set the image quality to Highest
- Turn OFF Digital Zoom
- Always Half press the release shutter button before clicking the pictures.
- A night shot without flash should always be taken after placing a camera on a flat, steady surface. Use the timer to avoid any kind of blurring.
- When shooting indoors, make sure all the lights in the room are turned on, or use the camera flash to avoid blurring.
